His reply was nothing short of polite, kind and understanding. He asked if there was anything he could do to help, and that he had also been thinking about it but wasn't sure if dinner was the best place to meet up after so long. He offered the Christmas break as a time for maybe meeting.
My eyes filled with tears. I know we weren't the best fit but we did love and support each other. Perhaps it was just bad timing, him and I. I really do want to see him, it's just to be at a time where everyone's on the same page so it can be done properly. I don't want to sneak around and run the risk of upsetting Mike, or Chris for that matter. His support means the world to me, though. I would have been upset if he didn't want to contact me again but of course, it would be deserved and understandable.
I am hopeful that this will happen one day, and hopefully soon.
It looks like my evening will now be filled with drawing, wrapping and relaxing....hopefully in peace.
