Roll with the punch

I didn't get it...but somehow I'm not really that surprised. I felt a little hurt at first, but then I thought back to how I felt when I learnt about the interview - which was pretty indifferent. It wasn't until I started looking over the job role, working out my journey there and checking out the offices that I started to get excited about it, and now I think it was actually the idea of a new job, not that company in particular. So, I've Foo Fighters 'Done done and i'm onto the next one' humming in my head and I've just got to keep my chin up and move past it. I was A) lucky to have had the interview B) Had feedback - they loved my personality apparently and C) got through the process - hopefully it'll kick some other potential positions into gear.

I know that when I see it, i'll know. When i'm sat in the chair looking onto the person interviewing me, I know if it clicks and if it's something I like and want to be a part of. I will know it as I walk away.

It's difficult not taking these things personally, but then at least I am currently employed and not completely desperate to seek anything to help me pay the bills. I still have a bit of power in the situation, sometimes it pays to wait.

So, I'll just keep applying to things every day, as I see them and hope that someone else wants to give me a chance. There's still other irons in the fire!
