I chose a favourite dress of mine, something fairly standard and not too over the top as I don't really know his personal taste. Wanted to look nice but not too nice, didn't want to add pressure where there didn't need to be added pressure. The nerves built as I waited at the station for my train, waiting for a text to say he had to cancel and he was sorry but it never came. I got to Canterbury and waiting to see his familiar car pull up, although a lil delayed as I forgot to tell him which station.
But when he came it just brought this massive smile to my face. It felt natural to see him, like I've met him before.
We got in his car and drove to the city, his calm voice pointing out lots of buildings with facts attached playing Funeral For a Friends album 'Hours' on the stereo. I was beaming and excited. We wondered the streets, then went to the bay. The seagulls crowed and I felt at home, a quaint lil village with families and tiny dogs on leads, a small pier with arcades, people crabbing of the edge. We had jacket potatoes in the cafe and talked about his work, we went and had peanut butter icecream in the band stand and watched a gospel chior sing hymes in purple and green matching outfits. He saw an old friend and his girlfriend he hadn't seen in ages, they looked at each other fondly, they seemed like nice, fun people. We played cards next to the mini golf and laughed at the benches, the weather held off long enough for us to catch some sunshine. We went to his flat, a lovely place, neat and tidy but not without personality. There were lil owl fridge magnets and notes from friends, lots of comforting things nestled with gadgets. We had coffee from his machine, then went and met his friends again and attempted to go crabbing without much luck as the wind was too strong and sea and gone too far out.
They went back to his with us and once they left we went to the arcades, I felt like I was fourteen again on a date, giggling like crazy and getting excited as the tickets spun out of the machines. We cashed in bundles for a couple of fridge magnets, then waited by the sunset for a parade of lanterns to come by with drums and cheering. We walked along the sea wall to the beach where we waited for an artist to set fire to his masterpieces of dragons, that crackled in on the beach glowing red. Then fireworks rained down above our heads.
It was perfect. It was magical. I wanted so much to hold him, I wanted the moment to never end.
We went to his and played card games on the floor with hot chocolate. I decided to stay and he said he had a foton but I wouldn't have it, especially not after all his lovely hospitality. We went to his bedroom where it was toasty and warm from his electric blanket and he put music on quietly in the background. We laughed at Reddit and then turned the lights off and carried on talking. He put his warm feet on my cold ones and I felt that long lost tingle sensation and desire pumped through my veins.
I put my arm around him and he put his head to mine and we shared an amazing kiss. It lead to everything else, it was one of the most incredible moments of my life. He's so handsome, so lovely, with these stunning eyes and a cheeky little smile, reminds me a bit of both joe and Stev but is definetly his own person. Fairly timid and shy but charming, quick witted and just lovely. I think im in love with him already.
I had arranged to go home to mums but i called her naughtily and told her I wasn't feeling too well. I felt awful for it but at the same time I knew a time like this wouldn't come around again any time soon and i just wanted to be with him...so we stayed in bed cuddling, then ate pastries for breakfast and went to the city, had lunch and then went to the seaside once more. We decided to get some rum in and play more games, playing youtube videos and getting more and more tipsy. We kissed on the sofa and slept well and sleepily watched this afternoon draw in. We got things to make baguettes and watched lord of the rings which I really enjoyed with him sitting next to me. He bought me the box set when I learnt I'd never seen it. It was one of the cutest things anyone has ever done for me.
He drove me to the station in the rain, waited a little and then went to start his night shift. We kissed again and he gave me an Eevee doll that he had bought when we were in the city. It was just perfect.
I'm nervous about what will happen next, if we will keep talking, but I have a feeling we will meet again,I certainly hope we do. ..I'm going to make him something and send it to him in the post.
